Ealy Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I heard Bolivar had 6 inches of rain Thursday night. According to the USGS river gauge, there was no change in Pomme river level, which doesn't make sense. I know the lake is creeping up, how trashed is the Bolivar Landing area?
MOPanfisher Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I live north of bolivar about 15 miles, I am unaware of any big rain last night. There was a decent rain Thursday night. Pomme river came up according to the usgs gauge but certainly not a flood.
Ealy Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 Yes, Thursday night from what the radio said. I talked to some family today, it sounds like in Bolivar they really only had about .5 inches, but Morrisville had 5 inches. Dadeville area has as much as 10. That would put that water over at Stockton, which could use some help.
MOPanfisher Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I had heard that Eudora got a big rain, yep all that will run into Stockton.
Dutch Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 It must have evaporated on the way to the lake. It shows the same as it did a week ago.
MOPanfisher Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 None of the gauges I have looked at show anything more than a short duration low to moderate rise in the rivers. Don't know if the reported heavy rains were in such a small area that they didn't produce much runoff. I had about 1.5 inches Thursday night and it barely made a puddle. Had been dry and it was soaking in quickly.
