Dan the fisherman Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Got out at 830-12 today. Water temp was 80, and the air temp was in the high 60's. Chilling enough on the boat that I wished I brought a jacket for running this morning. N e ways the bite was pretty good today but feel I could have done better had I got there earlier. Caught 5 fish. One on a crank and the rest on top water. Nothing big. All about 12in LMB. They were all chasing shad to the surface. It was kinda like playing wack-a-mole. They would just pop up randomly and I would fling my Sammy to them and cross my fingers for a bite. I'm going to try and be there 630 tomorrow. Maybe I'll have better luck. I fished black burn to MN. Quillback Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Thanks for the report, I like that they are doing some shad chasing on top. Dan the fisherman 1
Dan the fisherman Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Me too Quill. Even a few bust on top let me know they're in the area. Then I can slow down, smack there faces with a worm or spoon and make the eat lol. Bg193ch and Quillback 2
