Ozark Flyer Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 I'm pretty sure I had a few Striper on the graph. And of course no live bait to be found. Made a few casts with the net with nada shad. Ran back to try and jig em up but again nada. After that frustration a few fish tried to start schooling but a bit out of reach and gone by the time I tried to slipped up on them. Did I mention frustrating! Fish all around and I got zip. Gonna hit it a few days again this week. Hoping the cool nights will get it kickin. Perhaps I can get my act together this time.
Dan the fisherman Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 Dang. Tough day man. Keep at it ozark flyer
Dan the fisherman Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 Got into them this afternoon. Water temp was 76 today. The bite was pretty good, wind was kinda a pain. Still ended up with 7-8. Same drill, drop shot and spoon in 15-35 feet . Fished North and south of the bridge. Didn't matter what side I was on. Once located they were will to bite with a littl persuasion. I really need to get chasing striper. Just haven't had the motivation to change over. Here's pics of the 2 biggest. Quillback and Lance34 2
Ozark Flyer Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 One of my long standing rules....don't leave fish to go find fish. Dan the fisherman 1
Quillback Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Nice fish Dan - Now I know how to find your spots, look for the guy in the chartreuse shirt - should be able to spot you from along ways away. Dan the fisherman 1
Dan the fisherman Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 Very true Quillback. ? I thought chartreuse would attract the bass to me, and I thought right I guess
