Going to try to get down this week maybe if work allows. Weather is perfect for this place so got to get down there.

I was able to take a last minute day of vacation on Friday. Was able to fish for about 3 hours. Water was low and very clear. Made fishing tough. Was able to manage three with biggest about 11". Ended up catching all three on a muddler. Nothing on nymphs. A beautiful day and the creek was beautiful. Never saw another fisherman.

I notice in some of your pics you mainly use standard nymphs. Do you ever have luck with bead heads on Crane?

All the flies i use are bead head. Or weighted with lead wire underneath.

Thanks, my stand-by at Crane is normally a BH Prince nymph. But Friday it resulted in zero.

Bh prince usually works good when water is stained or when it transitions from swift to deep really quickly. Otherwise bigger or midges will get it done. Small egg pattern will work too. Im goin Monday to try big dry flies like caddis and muddler. Maybe some beetles and hoppers. Also tied some midge emergers for the slack water.
