Hammer time Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Put in at 11am to 66.5 water temp. Started on wind blown pockets with squarebill and blade no bites. Tried wart and finesse jig on some points nothing. Regrouped and went to wind blown channel banks and swings up to dam and and covered a ton of water. Caught the bulk on Texas rigged blue flake power worm and 1/2 oz hand tied brown fb jig. Did catch a few on wart and fat free shad but worm and jig was the key! Ended up with 14, 10 blacks 4 brownies. Of those 4 keeper blacks big one 3.02 and 1 keeper brownie. Seen two bald eagles and a big group of pintails. And lots of white pelicans, those birds are huge! .Tight lines and CPR ewlech, Skeeter ZX190, 5fshlmt and 2 others 5
Walcrabass Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Hammertime, You give such great reports !!!! And you fish with such great lures...................... Like JIGS and PLASTIC WORMS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a true Bass Fisherman Wally
Dutch Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Good report. That is about the same results that I have had up in the rivers the last couple of weeks (worms and tubes). Very few fish will hit a spinnerbait or crankbait for me this fall and I was really looking forward to some spinnerbait days in Oct and Nov like the ones I had in Sept.
Unimog Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Thanks for the report! Got a few days off from soybean harvest so I'm headed down this afternoon for a much needed fishing trip.
mrgungho Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Not to hijack the post, but is anyone throwing a lipless this fall? "Some go to church and think about fishing, others go fishing and think about God."
