Guest Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Do y'all know the weights? Im thinking crappie fishing might be more fun right now
Members bc23champ Posted January 1, 2017 Members Posted January 1, 2017 Same here. We had jack squat on the wart . I caught one on a jerk and partner had one on a jig. That's it.... 2 bites all day. After catching fish for the last 3 weeks on a dang wart couldn't even get a dink on it today. As usual always someone always rolls in with 15-20 pounds. I'll never understand how they do it but that's a huge reason I don't tourney fish much on this lake. If you don't know the honey holes you're basically donating money . It's hard fo most guys to cover enough water to put much more than 10-12 pounds in the boat and all that gets you is a thanks for coming lol. The. Again I've only fished her for a year so that's part of it too. Time on the water learning
Guest Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I wouldn't be fishing against those dudes. I hate donating money on top of tough fishing conditions

Use fairly light wire hooks on the A-rig, and use braid. I've only ever lost one A-rig, had to cut it off. You will loose a few spoons, part of the game. HLS used to sell those locally made hammered spoons for like $1.79 per, but no longer carry them. Made it a lot more affordable. I need to order some blanks from somewhere and make my own, I guess.
