Lance34 Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 Finally got a day to get back on the water. Got started around noon yesterday and fished to about 3. WT hovered around 50 degrees up river in the area where I was at. Water color was stained. Used the wind to my benefit yesterday. Figure move up a creek arm where shad should be in that condition and plus maybe get a little shelter from it. Shad was there in numbers but not much shelter. Found them double minnow rigging in 6-7 fow with baits down 3 and 5 feet. Boated 25 and once I got to 10 good keepers, called it quits. Had enough of the wind. Tangoed with 2 stripers as well but couldn't finish the deal. Each one snapped my minnow rigs at the boat! Guess that's what I get for taking my bigger net out of the boat. Geez!! Been an unusual winter.... Fish pic below.... God Bless and take care. Vinsott, Phil Lilley, PigSooner and 7 others 10
