Bass Pro Shop Museum

Has Bass Pro in Springfield ever opened the new museum they were working on.  The one where they were going to combine their museum in the store with the old Wonders Of Wildlife museum next to their store.  I was down there last fall and several store employees said they were hoping to open it before Christmas but I haven't seen anything new on it.

Someone was talking about the museum at the media event here last week.  They said when it opens, it's going to be pretty incredible.  All I remember is he said there would be sections devoted to varying climates like deserts and rain forests featuring sights and sounds as well as smells.  Sounds interesting.  Hope it's as good as it sounds.

It's only been in the making for over a decade (I believe).  Johnny doesn't "do" anything small.  I would HOPE that he made this one gigantic "BPS-palooza" exhibition and most importantly......a massive STOREWIDE SALE!

I was involved with a small part of that last summer.  It's going to be pretty neat. Last I heard a few weeks ago was scheduled for end of March, pushed back from end of Feb.

I heard he wakes up in a new universe with new ideas every day.  

 

I bet it won't open for another year or more.

JP spends more money on re-doing than his dad spends on building it.  It's almost complete. Had an insurance buddy that did a walk thru last week and he said it's about there.

I used to work at Bass Pro, and when i worked there, they were planning to open in the spring, pushed back from the fall...of course, that was 2 years ago. haha God only knows.

I'm sure it will be amazing, the huge outdoor screen is pretty impressive.  Maybe I'll be able to find a Groupon for it so I can afford to take the family to see inside.
