Fish finder placement

If you could just have one fish finder would you mount it on the trolling motor or on the transom?

You can mount the head where ever you want and put a transducer both places either by changing the plug or using a switch.

If I had to choose one it would probably be trolling motor. 

The one on e the concise/transom can be helpful to let you know if you are getting too shallow when running he main motor though, but for pure fishing functionality I would choose front.
