Shadow Rap hooks

I purchased  VMC 9650 Round Bend Treble Hooks size 6 to replace damaged hooks on my Shadow Raps shallow diving. It now sinks to quickly, any suggestions on what to use? Every time I catch a catfish on a Shadow Rap, they destroy my hooks!

I change hooks out on about all jerkbaits. all will be different. I usually use the mustad KVD triple grips. I like the short shank ones. you just need to keep switching out different sizes of hooks as well as split rings. 

I take my jerkbaits to the pond every year with my box of terminal tackle and keep swapping out hardware until I get it to suspend how I want. It is very tedious but if your jerkbait doesn't suspend right you wont catch any fish.
