Site slow ??

I'm on super high speed here at work and all the other sites open up instantly, but this site takes 30 secs to a minute to open to a new post or thread.

Is it slow for everyone else?

I have a 3.5 meg service and it is about the same for me too.I know Phil probably isn't completly happy with it but as in anything else...speed costs money.The more advertising and more pics put on here the more it will slow the site down.

I am happy with it like it is but, it would be a little nicer if it was somewhat faster.I don't fork out the money so I can't say too much so I'll just live with it.

So Thanks for the great site Phil.I'm not going anywhere.

I'm in the country, so I get good ole' slow phone line connection. Good thing for the rest of you or I would post alot more of my %$*&@. The service speed never changes here at home. Cable users got it good.

I'm sitting here trying to decide where I'm going in the morning. I bought a couple of furled leaders for my 3wt and my 5wt and I'm dying to get out to try them out.I may just run down to Montauk Saturday and somewhere else Sunday.The weather is going to be too good to just sit around the house.

I don't think it's Phil's system. My pages while at work load in about ten seconds. Right now I'm home on Cingular wireless internet access and the pages are loading in about 15 seconds. Check your provider.

The speed varies for me, depending on the time of day and day of the week. Right now the homepage loads in 3 seconds for me but I'm on a very fast connection... and it's Saturday morning.

An average day we use about 850 megs of bandwidth peaking on big days at about 1.5 gigs. We've gotten as high as 1.8 gigs.

We've talked about putting OA on it's own server and dedicated T1 line.
