M_Taylor Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I fished a couple hours each morning this weekend. The wind on Saturday sent me home early. Conditions both days were windy and mostly cloudy, with Saturday seeing more sun. Water temps were around that 49 degree mark. Between about 4-5 hours of fishing combined, I landed 8 with 5 being keepers. Including a 3.5lber on the first cast Sunday. That was sweet! I couldn't get anything on the jerkbait and wasn't having much luck with the crank, so I switched to the spinnerbait and got bit by some good ones. Around docks and wood. It was a slow retrieve on a Colorado blade with 17lb test flouro. Thanks for the insight and I will report back next time I'm up. On a side note: let's all remember to remind others as well as ourselves about what fishing line in the lake can do for animals and such. I caught a bunch of it while out this weekend and I hate to think how much is out there I didn't find. And finally, when you are loading or unloading your boat, get prepped off to the side so others can launch while you do so. MOsmallies, fishinwrench, conorsixtakc and 2 others 5
