Guest Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I fished Lincoln Lake from the NuCanoe today. Man was it crowded. This was my first trip. I didnt get a bite today, but I fished from 2-6pm. I had no clue that lake has so much fishing pressure. It was like going into Blue Springs on a satuday. Next time, I will be fishing there on really windy or rainy days or weekdays. Also, need to deck out the Nucanoe with TM & Hummingbird before the next trip. I felt like I was fishing blind out there today. Not a good way to build confidence on a new body of water. Its stained like sequoyah & bobb kidd. I should've used a texas rigged trick worm or brush hog around the vegetation. Chatterbaits & square bills should produce too.
Quillback Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I don't even know where Lincoln is. I bet every lake in the area was busy yesterday.
Guest Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Lincoln is a stained water lake similar to the rest of these local city lakes. ElmDale, Sequoyah, bobb Kidd, Lake fayetteville, Springdale lake to name a few. I really liked it, too bad it was crowded AH. You know, beaver could benefit from shoreline vegetation, but it fluctates too much. Has the stalky grass returned to BV in places? (think LL dam area)
Quillback Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Lomond has a lot of water willow on the banks, don't know if the draw down will hurt it, but it is all over the place. Lots of little bass in Lomond, and also some good ones.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 If it's low there will be more grass later. That's a good thing.
