Hi my name is Jason I will respond since nobody else will I would give it about another two weeks before the white bass head up to the shoals down at blunks around Galena. And if you got a fly rod that would even be better they are just now starting to move around the lower James River arm hope that helps

New to area, never fished for whites.  Looking forward to it.   Been fishing Delaware area and getting about 6-12 goggle each time out just for fun and a few smallies now and then.   How far down do I need to go for white bass?

I have one from yesterday.  It sucked!!  The water is moving fast from the shoal downstream, glad I didn't bring the canoe now.  Saw activity of them with shad jumping all over the place, but didn't see anyone catching anything.  This weekend might be better.
