Members steven1231 Posted March 19, 2017 Members Posted March 19, 2017 Just wondering if anyone had any reports they would share thanks
bassfisher Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Hi my name is Jason I will respond since nobody else will I would give it about another two weeks before the white bass head up to the shoals down at blunks around Galena. And if you got a fly rod that would even be better they are just now starting to move around the lower James River arm hope that helps
bassfisher Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Like you I'm excited about a fish fry but it's just a few weeks out
bassfisher Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I will tell you this go with the white Marabou jig when you do go down there to try to catch them and make sure it has little chartreuse with it a lighter of a Marabou jig about 4 pound test line and be careful don't horse too much

Members ICI Posted March 21, 2017 Members Posted March 21, 2017 New to area, never fished for whites. Looking forward to it. Been fishing Delaware area and getting about 6-12 goggle each time out just for fun and a few smallies now and then. How far down do I need to go for white bass?

ollie Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 I have one from yesterday. It sucked!! The water is moving fast from the shoal downstream, glad I didn't bring the canoe now. Saw activity of them with shad jumping all over the place, but didn't see anyone catching anything. This weekend might be better.
