moguy1973 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Looking for a place on the lake with access to a slip for a weekend trip. Are there other places other than the State Park and Orleans Trail? -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
zarraspook Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Are you camping ?? Or do you need a motel ??? "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
moguy1973 Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Motel/room/cabin -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Walleyedmike Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 State Park, Orleans Trail and Mutton Creek are the only Marinas on the lake. Happy O's Resort has some slips by the resort, I don't know if they are theirs or are private docks. You'd have to call them to find out, unless somebody posts up that knows. There are several other places to stay, unless a slip is crucial. The thing about Stockton is, the wind can affect where you might want to put in, so the option of trailering to a ramp somewhere might be nice. WM
moguy1973 Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 I guess a slip isn't necessarily crucial as long as the resort has a ramp nearby and a place to park the trailer at night. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
