RiverRunner Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I guess I'm going to be coming up for the next OA get together at Taney, and I was wondering where the best place for me to camp will be. I usually just sleep in my SUV, but I need electricity to plug up my fan and it has to have shower facilites available. I would prefer to camp as close to the river as possible, but that is not absolutely necessary, I just like the cool breeze that comes off the water. If you have any suggestions, chime away!
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 The State Park at Tablerock across the dam. Very nice and close. I'm trying to be there myself with the same setup. SIO3.
KATroutman13 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Yeah, I'd suggest the Table Rock State Park Dam site as well. I've camped there a few times. Really nice, pretty quiet (even on holiday weekends) and just a jump hop and a skip from the river.
Terry Beeson Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 ...and just a jump hop and a skip from the river. I'm glad you didn't say "a stone's throw"... Members FliTrap4 Posted March 29, 2007 Members Posted March 29, 2007 There's an idea in this somewhere! if we link up.... We can park up to two cars, trucks or horse carts in a "Camp spot"! Split the costs and plug both up for the fans and such! I'll pitch up a tent, though.... tend to slid out of back of this jeep too easy! Not any fun in a sleeping bag! Thinking its two tents on a pad as well! FliTrap
RiverRunner Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 Thats a good idea, PM me if you want to do it. That way we can have some company at the campsite and tell fishing stories . . . .
