Another good day. We did a couple things different. Fished long streches of banks close to main lake points. These banks had fist size chunk rock on them that i took pictures of before the water came up. We fished the "normal" shore line which was about 6-8 foot out as best we could tell. Pitched a pbj jewel finesse jig with a UV craw.  Once the jig fell off the natural first rock ledge, hold on. Several (20-30) shorts, then when we came to flooded bushes we pitched right to the bush/shore line. Large mouths were in the bushes and we ended up with 7 keepers. All were about 3-3 1/2 lbs on our scale which is pretty accurate. On the point itself we did not sit out on it and cast to the bank as we saw a ton of boats doing. Instead we stayed on each side of the point itself in about 30 plus water and cast parallel to the point where it dropped off into deeper water. Kip and i were on the front deck and it worked well. One of us would be 3-5 foot deeper than the other but covered the "sides" of the points well. Caught a lot of short fish, mostly small mouth but picked up a few (3) more keeper kentuckies which were like footballs, ready to explode. My son caught a bunch of short smallies on the ned as well. Probably one of the best "number" days we have had yet this year. Nothing on a spinnerbait in the flooded bushes, Lord knows we tried! Nothing on the swimbait either today. The gentleman in the new 521 (?)Ranger with the G2 and Ultrex (i think) gorgeous boat and hope you did as well as us.
