It would appear the USGS gauge is washed out / inoperable as of sometime Saturday night when river hit 35.  I know everyone down there probably has plenty to do, but any reports would be appreciated.  Was headed down this weekend and have a big trip in 3 weeks, worried for everyone down there.

I spoke to the guys at Twin Bridges today.  They indicated they got lucky and didn't have too much damage, but that "every bridge downstream was damaged or destroyed."  Said Hammond was no more, Blair Bridge affected.  No idea how much of that is the case, but sounds terrible.  I hope everyone is OK.

Its a mess. Several bridges washed out, Justin & Amy are OK, but they lost the Riverhouse, the green cabin, and more. It looks horrible down there.

There's no way to describe it other than its a mess. Hammond Bridge and James bridge are gone. Don't know about McKee or Patrick yet, the river is still too high to tell. The last reading on the gauge that I saw was 209,000 cfs at 35.6 ft. I would say 50ft was possibly hit.

Sunburst Ranch campground lost everything. The fishermans cabins, river house etc. Their house at the Landing had water up to the second level.ROLF had water in the upper level suites in the lodge. I believe they also lost 8 of the tree houses. Dawt Mill lost several cabins. They had water in the Gravel Bar and restaurant. Not sure about the bridge just below them.

Tecumseh bridge was covered but the water has receded. The bridge is still closed because the road buckled on the Gainsville side. It will be closed until inspectors check it out.

We will have to wait until the water drops out to see all the damage. its anyone's guess to when the river will be floatable.

That is an incredible volume of water for a river that size. I suspect the fish survived the event better than the other residents.

Back in March we floated the river, fished, and stayed in one of the Dawt Mill cabins that is now gone. Had dinner in the now mud-filled Mill restaurant. This is truly a sad sight to see.
