Alex Heitman Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 With Jerome closed are they any boat access spots that are close to this area? I've heard of highway 28. Is that right at the 28 bridge on the right? My buddy and I are planning a trip on Friday after work and a looking for somewhere close to Rolla.
Mitch f Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Do you have a jet boat, or are you floating? There is Boiling Springs campground a couple of miles down from 28 bridge. There used to be a private access called Browns above the bridge but I'm not sure if they still have it open. You could always put in on the Big Piney and foot down to the Gasconade too. Alex Heitman Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 We have a jet. We might try boiling springs access this time. We put in in the big piney and ran quite a ways down to the gasconade last time and some spots were pretty hairy up through there. We hit a big rock on the jet but only bent the one of the grates luckily. Probably won't do that again until the rivers get up a little bit.
Gavin Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Think Browns has been gone for awhile. Boiling Sptings Is your best bet know I think. Did get parking from a guy that is across river from the L piney a month our so ago but would not want to back a trailer down that beach. Jerome got hammered hard with the flood.
