I quit buying FS lines after I discovered RIO sinking leaders.  I use the 7' 5.6 IPS mostly, but the others have done well for me too.    I have some longer 10-12' ones but I really never need to use them as the 7 footers get the job done just fine and are a breeze to pick up and cast.

They make a 7ft. 7.4 IPS that is a bomb.  I use it on a 6 or 7wt. for swinging leeches in fast heavy water and it does well for me.   I use a 2-3' flouro tippet and a sinking fly so the actual length of the sinking section is over 9ft.

They are relatively inexpensive, give them a try.

Having a longer sinking head really doesn't do anything for you on a drift/swing, or when stripping cross-current.  In my opinion a long sinking tip, or full sink line really only shines in slow or still water where there is enough time to get it all down.   Besides, having a shorter sinking head gives you the ability to mend, which is something you can't do with a 15-20ft. sink tip line very well.
