Hey guys,

New to the forum and the area. I enjoy walleye fishing and was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to go around Kimberling City area specifically Joe Bald Park. I fish Stockton and can usually do pretty good up there. I also, enjoy white bass and crappie fishing any help would be appreciated.

I would help, but I fish the other end of the lake. However, what you know from Stockton should help you explore the better areas.

Thanks RPS. Which part do you fish? Are there better parts of the lake to fish for walleye, white bass or crappie then others? I'm new to all of this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

He is on the upper white river. Walleye fishing in the Joe Bald area can be really good however seasonal travel and spawning occur in the river arms in the Shell Knob and Eagle Rock , kings and white river areas into Arkansas. Summer months the main lake holds nice populations of eyes but as later Fall approaches a natural migration will start into and up those main tribes of the Rock. As far as crappie. You came to the wrong lake. Whites are chasing now EARLY. Off main lake flat points. Bite is over by 7:30 AM and may start up again right before dark

Thanks Bill. I'm familiar with bottom bouncing from Stockton. Is that the method that guys are using at the Rock or is trolling the best way to catch them. I usually fish flats in 16-18' of water this time of the year. Where is considered Main Lake on the lake? Thanks for the help.

Your first year here has come in an atypical year. The high water skewed the normal pattern. In more normal years trolling cranks or vertical spooning are the September preferred methods. I cannot say I have had much success this month doing that.

As Dan suggested, check his Youtube posts and check the archives for posts by me, Rangerman, and Powerdive.

Thanks Dan. I've learned a lot just watching your videos. Do you usually fish for them the same way you do on Stockton? Spoons and bottom bouncing? What are you looking for on your graph to find them or is is more depth related? I usually fish the flats at Stockton, but I wasn't sure if it's the same technique. Thanks for the help.

Thanks Bill, I'll check them out. I'm headed down this weekend I'll post a report.
