Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 7, 2007 Root Admin Posted April 7, 2007 A lady just called the resort and said she had a purse taken from her car yesterday mid afternoon while parked at the Cooper Creek Access. The window of their car was broken. They were fishing with Bill Beck, a guide. Branson is being over run with crime it seems. None of it's in the paper, unfortunately, to warn both tourist and locals. If you come down here, take wise precautions.
Terry Beeson Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I've GOT to quit keeping valuables in my truck... Sad that you have to do that, but I'm almost afraid to leave my house to go to work for fear of a break in... sheesh.... duckydoty Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I had some fellas the other night take my Mt. Dew out of my cooler, which was in my truck. They left the cold weather gear and extra rod alone. I dont know weather to lock the truck and risk broken window, or risk loosing my Mt. Dew ???????? duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. troutchaser Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Sad. Just sad. It's amazing what people will take. I use an old carpet remnant on the ground behind my SUV when I pull on my waders. (Asphalt is not kind to neoprene stockingfeet) It's easy to forget about it and leave it out when I fish. I've had to replace it four times now. And it's just a chunk of raggedy old carpet. Paul Rone
