Smithvillesteve Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Anybody on this forum willing to help a guy find some crappies? I am bringing a buddy of mine and his wife down to fish for some crappies friday. Probably launch at Fairfield or Osage Bluff. Fish up the Big Pomme or up around KK island. Water depths? Jigs? Minnows? Flats? Creek ledges? Any advice would be deeply appreciated.
oneshot Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 You put in at Fairfield go East under the Bridge on up is plenty of Structure ( Timber) Never fished it but should be plenty of Crappie. If you go West from the Ramp and around the bend there is a few Tress and kind of a bluff. Should be Crappie in there. I've always just did Catfish but yes plenty Crappie. oneshot
Members Jigging15 Posted October 10, 2017 Members Posted October 10, 2017 Have not been on that end for a while but up the Grand and Osage fish are being caught on edges of the flats close to the channel and also mouths of the creeks. 6-12' of wayer and right on the bottom. Jigs are working best. Hardwood clusters or about any tree with brush or root was around it.
