Yamaha four stroke 250 lower unit

Hit something this week and will need to rebuild or replace the lower unit. Broke the shaft.  Ballpark what would be a fair price ? Any advice is welcome. 

 

I am not trying to get the cheapest job possible but want to know if the price is reasonable

Need the year, model# and serial#.

Replacement (reman) lower unit is a little over 3k 

OEM replacement is over 4k

So how much was that deductable again?
