First trip advice

Nothing but hard water down here this year, last year I was in shirt sleeves still so I am going through withdrawals.  How hard is it for a first timer to catch a few bass up there?  About 90 min trip for me so it isn't too bad, but I have never been there. 

Willing to roll the dice, now that duck season is over I am ready to pull the boat blind off, put the trolling motor back on and throw a jerk bait again.

I used to hit it a few years ago.  I caught fish from the bank in the parking lot by the hot water channel.

I just looked at a map and it looks like they changed some accesses up there from when I was there.  Maybe somebody will chime in with better info.
