I will be making a trip down mid February for a few days.  If i were to generally target walleye what would be some good starting points this time of year?  Will they be up a bit shallower preparing for the spawn or will we still be able to catch them out deeper on spoons and jigging raps.  Not looking for anyone's secret spots or baits just a good starting point in what to bring along.  A few years ago in the fall we had pretty good success in the Dam area with jigging spoons on main lake bluff ends and long gravel run outs....can we expect a similar pattern?  Thanks for any advice!

main lake and secondary gravel/chunk points and same type banks that face E. and S., wind blown banks/points,depth will vary depending on the conditions, suspending jerkbaits, shad style crankbaits and bigger paddle tail swimbaits. that's what I've done every year for the last 15 years. give yourself at least 3 days on the water to establish a pattern. Mid Feb can be really good, good luck!

Subscribed, heading down Friday night, going home Monday.  Probably fishing the White but if the lake heats up for bass, etc I might take out the bass boat.
