brittsnbirds
What is the best method for me to clean my Simms Goretex waders? I noticed I have a black smudge on the rear from setting on something. I tried to get into the Simms site but it is down. Any suggestions?
fishinwrench
If dish soap won't cut it you'll have no other choice but to....Go fishin'every chance you get.....the more time you spend on the water, the quicker they'll come clean. And if they don't, you'll at least wear them out sooner so they can be replaced with a prettier pair.
Terry Beeson
That's OK as long as you are fishing the same water all the time. Didymo and other "yucky stuff" is transferred from stream to stream via waders, boots, boat hulls, trailers, etc. Use mild soap and a touch of bleach on your waders with LOTS of water. There have been a couple of threads here and on John Wilson's forum about this... jjtroutbum
I have had blood, mud, general camp crud, on my BP cheapo breathables. In the past usually once it all gets built up enough that I start to notice it all. I break out a clean sponge with a little dish soap and wipe em down then take the hose to them. There is how ever washing machine instructions on the inside of them. Im just not willing to let my machine put my waders where ever those lost socks get to.
