Or is it something that is available for purchase? I've never tried spider rigging...my boat looks to be very similar...might be something cool to try...thanks Didn’t design. Just something I’ve been wanting for the past couple years. Just had to save up the money. They are called Elite Rod Holders. My opinion the best you can get and at the best price amongst single rod holders. Much easier to adjust and strong The benefit is that it isolates which rod is getting bit. Instead on the traditional T-Bar holder set where rods get to bouncing from the other rods. Also my old T-Bar setup I had to take down to pull up the trolling motor. These just fold down and go. I’ve been rigging for awhile. I do it consistently 9-10 months out of the year. It’s a different beast. Can’t remember the last time I single pole jig fish😂 Take my advice it ain’t something you want to infest in to just try.... Commitment Here’s also a link to the rod holders http://www.eliterodholders.com/single-custom-rod-holders-for-crappie.html

This is what is plaguing me right now. Its my first year spyder rigging & converting a bass boat with no drill brackets isn't the easiest way to go. I've been eyeballing those war eagle predator boats that were designed for this method.

I’ld have to have their bass boat or do some kind of custom build. The thing is I don’t like the bow. Feel you loose a lot of rod length with their bow design. I’ve seen riggers turn their trolling motor mounts more in a perpendicular position on the bow. So they can keep their holders up. That might be option
wily Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Been looking at those holders...they're cool looking. So if starting slow...say 4. With the idea of graduating to 8. Where would you place the original 4? How far apart? Also, I assume yours are the 24 inchers. Thanks

Spacing depends on how wide your front deck is. I spaced mine about 3” apart and they work perfectly. Drift Master another company that makes single holders called crappie stalkers recommend about 5” spacing. They have a more narrow mount as well. Wasn’t a fan of theirs. Too much risk of stripping screws while adjusting on the water. No mine are the 18” height. That’s what my T bars are so that’s what I’m use too.... Don’t fix something that ain’t broken
Guest Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I’m using the driftmaster crows foot so that I’m not drilling holes on a newer model bass boat. I’ve also got the millennium sidekick that’s holding down the rod holder bracket. This was the only “no drill” configuration that I could find on short notice. So far it works great except for having to move one side of the bracket to raise the TM. That part kinda sucks but it forces me to find good areas & saturate them. It’s total commitment
wily Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 One more question...our boats are very similar...what trolling motor are you running? Is it 24v? Mine is 46lb motor guide...with 31 series battery...have thought about upgrading...but more money and no place for additional battery...gas tank is huge in mine. I wish it was half its size. Thanks

Thanks MG, 12v, 45#, optima blue top battery... Have a duralast battery that just sits in the floor board as a back up. My tracker is 2010 Pro170. Correct on that... There isn’t any room back there for another battery.. Crammed tight
