Hey guys-

I know this is a huge can of worms, and there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to fishing- but I've been reading some stuff online trying to get a clearer picture in my head of why I do what I do as far as seasonal patterns on the White river lakes.

If you define the seasons as Winter, Early Pre Spawn, Late Pre Spawn/Spawn, Post Spawn, Summer, and Fall, what surface temps make YOU look to change up to the next season. What areas/structure do you look for the fish in each season, and what do you throw? What do you change on a clear calm day vs. a day with clouds and wind?

this guy might know a thing or 2  https://www.bassmaster.com/vandams-6-season-bass-guide

If my buddy  would have had electronics ,temp guage or a good map in/ on the boat the last 3 days I fished Bull  you bet I would have been looking for those "highways", we caught several spots and largemouth on the flats pretty  shallow  in that buckbrush ,but they were all short fish and 90% males so I was thinking the bigger males/females were somewhere behind us in a ditch or something. The areas we fished was sort of unfamiliar to me this time of year, don;t fish it much in the spring but with the wind it was the "best place" to  launch . if  the wind would have let us we would have went to the dirty water way up the other arm. I know it very well and don't  need electronics or a map up there in the Springtime. Somebody we know had a very good day up there yesterday ! found 54-57 degree water they said.. What Kevin says in the article is pretty much what they did.
