3/28 Water Conditions

After all the rain how dirty and how much floating junk is in the water? I'm thinking about going down on Friday. 

 

Anyone going today or tomorrow?

I'm headed down tonight with my son...we were hoping to fish tomorrow evening and then Friday/Saturday. We are around Point 5/Spring Branch. Looks like it's coming up quick but with the gates open that should slow the rise.

Heard the Corps was predicting 920 by the weekend. 

More rain coming.

I haven't been down in a while to know what it was like but the james near anut creek had about a foot of visibility.Aunts Creek was brown. Lots of small floating debris around.

Kings in very muddy with lots of debris floating, and it's still raining

Coming down DD, point 5 to point 7 looks stained at the most (from the road). Doesn't look too bad here at the house ramp either. Saw boats fishing and running around point 7.

update: we fished from 5-7 this evening. 7’ visibility and no real debris except some leaves and small branches. Water was a little milky in Spring Branch...53 degrees. More bird obstacles than anything else. No fish for us...back out tomorrow.
