Members Texas Carper Posted April 28, 2018 Members Posted April 28, 2018 I'll be taking a trip to go carping in a few weeks at this location. It will be my first time going after carp in Mo. Would appreciate any information on what baits work best in this section of Norfork. I'll be there from May 12th or 13th through the week following. Would also like to know what rigs work best. I tend to fish with 3oz inline gripper leads with a 6 to 7 inch hooklink. Thanks in advance. “Rivers and the inhabitants of the watery elements are made for wise men to contemplate and for fools to pass by without consideration. ” Izaak Walton

Members Texas Carper Posted April 29, 2018 Author Members Posted April 29, 2018 Thank you. Any flavors or brands of flavors that work the best ? “Rivers and the inhabitants of the watery elements are made for wise men to contemplate and for fools to pass by without consideration. ” Izaak Walton
MoCarp Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 oats pack, used 50/50 mellow fruity and vanilla butternut Superior Flavoring (n-Butyric Acid Spiked) worked well for me as well as one-on's rotten strawberry water is clear and rocky so mono works better than braid, as far as hook bait one or 2 grains of pop up plastic maize in white or yellow dipped in whatever flavors you use in your pack,, if they get picky put a teaspoon of prepared hemp seed in the oats pack, and a teaspoon of hemp oil (CC-MOORE) in your glug pot, once it gets hot the fish bite best at night, be careful about shining lights in the water, big fish get big avoiding Bfing boats and light and banging around sends them deep, but don't think norfolk gets hit as hard are some the other Missouri lakes MONKEYS? what monkeys?
