Wish I could say what the water is going to do this week. TR has come up a foot and more rain is in the forecast. I'd hope they'd hold TR for the bass and crappie spawn but as I look out the window I see they're running a bit of water now so my guess is they will run it some this week.

The water temp out in front of the resort has risen considerably the past several days. I fished last evening- practicing casting by fly rod and catching them on a #14 black zebra 12 inches deep. They were and do midge every evening out in front and the rainbows easy to fool. Anyhow, they were warm to the touch. This water will change things if it keeps running. The change will put them down a little if it goes from, say 55 to 42. They aren't running much so it won't reach us... for now.

But fishing has been real good. One guy said Friday evening when they came in, "haven't seen it much better." They were fishing the trophy area I think. Rolan and Ed caught lots and lots of rainbows on scuds and 1/98th oz jigs (sculpin, orange head) for 5 days ending Saturday from Lookout down to Fall Creek. Too many to count- but Rolan said he landed 109 rainbows one afternoon. Biggest was 16 inches. Average 12-13 inches. Good fighters.

Bait fishing has been great too. Fishing off the dock- down by Cooper Creek and even down to the island using Gulp Eggs, worms and minnows. If the water runs, minnows is the best, catching nicer trout.

If the water continues, I hope to get out and throw a jig- white- and hope to nail a brown trout or two.

If I didn't have a trip to LOZ planned I would probally head on down. I am looking forward to a week at Lilly's with my grandson later in the summer but I think I am going to wedge another trip in between that one. Thanks for the reports. Sounds good.

I know I am not supposed to envy but I am really jealous of you guys so close to the action.

Sorry- water did run enough to cool our water down and I'm sure it's alot further downstream this morning. We'll see how the trout react.

Boated to the dam this am. Made a couple of drifts and threw several colors at them (jigs) catching only one and missing a few.

Cold water has put the damper on fishing for a day... I'd fish downstream today if I were fishing.

Any word on bass fishing? I was planning to head to Table Rock Saturday, but will get a late start and I don't much care to deal with the play boat crowd.
