redshad Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 I heard something about the MDC had stated that there was a fish kill in the upper ends of the Gravois and the Glaze arms. Did anyone hear the same info?
shrapnel Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 It was the lower ends, not the upper. It's not that uncommon, rapidly rising water temps, algae bloom, low dissolved oxygen levels. In the Glaize it was mostly small drum and a few catfish affected. It sounds like the Gravois was hit worse.
Members GSPHUNTER Posted June 27, 2018 Members Posted June 27, 2018 I saw quite a few blue cats at the mouth of the gravois Sunday morning. All in the 2-5 pound range.
fishinwrench Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I haven't seen any floaters up here. The upper G got a tremendous flush today. I expect a crest of over 661 tonite and water way up in the grass tomorrow, once all the water makes its way down. Nice cool rain too. Once things settle down a bit the bite should be fantastic. Grab your frogs! slothman and GSPHUNTER 2
