Hey there.  I was looking at the MDC brush pile gps coordinates and comparing them to the Navionics app on I phone  and found they were slightly different. I have a Garmin sonar with gps but no mapping cards. I know how to mark waypoints but haven’t mastered entering them by coordinates.  The question is are the mdc coordinates dead on? I guess just going to the general area and watching sonar?

Some of them are and some of them aren't you will just have to see.  You may not be able to get closer than 20' then have to look around.  Also some of them are several piles in a general area.  Have you downloaded them to an sd card then uploaded them to your unit?

Yea that makes it hard to do...i just downloaded the GFX files and loaded them on my 73sv with no issue....if you have a home computer and printer there is a pdf of those places and you can print them off.... Fish Attractor PDF Maps | MDC Hunting and Fishing

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

If you have a Garmin with the card slot you can use the Homeport software to edit the way points  and the GPS coordinates. I have set way points on my computer and gone to them on the water. Your editing is so much easier on your computer than on the unit itself.  I have a Garmin 53cv and love the software to mark and edit way points.
