brownieman
Just read the whole report. I'll have to think about a few things before I'll give an opinion. Brian...no harm meant i just hold a high regard for our rivers seeing what has happened over the years. I can receive pm's but cannot send out any...don't know what's up with that just attribute it to being a computer moron, lol. I could offer a couple of neat suggestions of which I have seen nothing like concerning rentals...kind of eco freindly educational floats I guess you could say...if you would be receptive just let me know. I assume neither you or I want the 11 Pt. to be like the current or niangua...I wouldn't wish that on any river...especially one as beautiful as the 11 pt. bm My friends say I'm a douche bag ?? brownieman
hey brian, have a question if you don't mind. what kind of pickeral population exists in the 11 pt and are they grass or chains?? you know the river better than I...just curious...this could have an impact on fish populations in general from my experience. thanks bm My friends say I'm a douche bag ?? Brian Sloss
There is a good population of chain pickerel, but they inhabit different water than the trout. They prefer slow, dead water with lots of weeds. The addition of browns won't mean adding more trout, but rather replacing rainbows in one section with browns. But total number of trout stocked when you combine rainbows with browns will be pretty much the same as the total number of rainbows currently stocked. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
brownieman
thanks, reason i ask is i have caught pickerel in 'trout' waters before...knowing it's not ideal but they are there...quite efficient feeders as well. have seen 4 to 6 lb chains...they could do a small trout or any population some damage. just figuring on the decline with the mdc charts besides sampling methods My friends say I'm a douche bag ??
