Tightline Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Taxi, there are several good reasons to post when you have a bad or not so good day fishing. 1. It shows that you are human, not everyone loads the boat everytime.Hec even our resident guide on this forum posts when he's had a rough day. 2.It lets the other fishermen know to maybe go to a different place or try another approach. 3.It may also prompt someone who is catching bunchs of fish to post, you know the ego thing! I say post,if you've had a good, bad or in between trip.
Dutch Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 gee you always seem to catch lots of fish and big ones too! Sounds fishy to me What's not to believe. I know a guy from Lead Hill who caught over 100 keepers out of one tree last summer. There are some really good fishermen out there that the general public knows nothing about and doesn't have a clue as to the numbers and sizes they catch. I'll just bet this is one of them.
Members wildminnow Posted May 24, 2007 Members Posted May 24, 2007 yes before you stick up for taxidermist you must read his post about the world record striper I belive it is in the bull shoals thread under wow lots of fish it is a great read, he has also had some tales that have been proven to be false about scuba diving by table rock darn so he has shown that he does not always post facts on this board, he is a story teller just tryin to be like beeson I guess
Dutch Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I am not sucking up to anyone. I just happen to know some guys who catch more in a month than most of the people catch in a year and this guy may be one of them. After all, who am I to doubt him. If I posted all my trips you would probably be on me like a duck on a junebug, so far there have been a little more than 1500 game fish come into my boat this year. If you would keep quiet and be more respectful, he might just let you in on a little more info.
Members wildminnow Posted May 24, 2007 Members Posted May 24, 2007 why would I want fairy tale information that is made up? Did you read his striper story? Do you for a second believe that? Go pet waynes kitty dutch and dont worry about my posts
Members joefish Posted May 25, 2007 Members Posted May 25, 2007 I am a taxidermist too. And as a general rule we tend to drink more, catch more, shoot straiter, and tell taller tales and write more words on the post. Probing the depths, driving lunkers from their homes!
taxidermist Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Well Joe I dont drink, I have never smoked, never done illeagl drugs. My shooting taint to good either. I can backup most of my fishing. So maybe you are all of what you post??? But then I dont fit into many standards, always been a nonconformist too. If one species of fish dont bite I change what I fish for. This weekend I am staying away from the water, to many drunks out there and to many idiots on PWC. Wild minner, call the Dewey Short Center and ask them about diving and going up and touching the dam. Deep diver proved one thing to me, I would not follow him, there is a point of taking a risk then using some brains. Since I have done a good bit of tech diving, know my dive tables etc. But give the center a call and tell them yo are going to dive and swim up and touch the dam. But dont hang up!!!!! Here is the phone number in case you cannot find it. Phone: (417) 334-4101 Minner I am still waiting for you to standup and put your money where your Mouth is on fishing against me. You are a lot of talk but NO ACTION. John
Members CT Mike Posted June 7, 2007 Members Posted June 7, 2007 Some of you fishermen are like a bunch of jealous little whining schoolgirs! java script:emoticon('', 'smid_45') John is probably a pretty darn good fisherman. It would not suprise me a bit if he caught every fish he claimed. I have met several fishermen in my life that put me to shame, and he is probably one of them. How about if we just stick to methods and techniques? Then maybe we could all improve our catch rate!
stone9-7=2 Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I got a buddy that can catch fish like that, some people got it some don't. I think any info is better than none.
