Wayne SW/MO Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Congratulations Martin. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Tightline Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Way to go Martin!!Tell us more, don't need any secrets, but were you casting, trolling or jigging? How many boats were in it?No easy task winning a Wally tourney.Congrats. Your first name isn't Roland is it?
gonefishin Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Congrats on the win and the big fish. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
taxidermist Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 Thanks, for the info. What was the big eye? Become a guide and ruin my fun? Noway! But yes I have condisered becoming a guide, but I dont think most people want to spend the day fishing as hard as I do. Tomorrow my brother who is in from Las Vegas and I are heading out to spearfish. For those who think its like shooting fish in a barrel, it certainly is not, it may be even harder to find fish large enough to be legal.
Martin Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Thank you, Thank you... lol...... We were trolling crankbaits, mid to lower lake. Tourney was out of Peel (125 Marina). Big fish was right at 5 pounds (4.92), not a monster by any means but not bad for mid-June. We caught a few the day before on crawlers but it was pretty slow so we decided to try something else (cranks) and it payed off this time. (finally, lol).
Ron Burgundy Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Taxi...There is another MSW tourney on Oct.6 out of Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock come join the fun. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
