Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 18, 2006 Root Admin Posted January 18, 2006 Flying Fish You may want to save this to a file and then play it. It's pretty big just to play. Chris Gebhardt sent it to me. It's pretty crazy.
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 That's a pretty cool video! Does anyone now what type of fish those are and what's happening? Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 26, 2006 Author Root Admin Posted January 26, 2006 It's making the forward rounds- I've gotten it 3 times now from different people. Have no idea where it is or what type of fish. I assume it's south of the border- may be latin or south america.
Seth Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Silver Asian carp will do the same thing. The only difference is they can weigh 20-30lbs and do that. Imagine getting knocked upside the head by one of those while sitting in a boat.
jOrOb Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Don't they have silver asian carp in the Mississipi? jOrOb jOrOb "The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me." Rev MacLean
Fish Bork Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 That is insane. Yeah I've heard of people getting killed from jumping carp. Maybe thats just an urban legend but a 30lb fish to the noggin while flying down the river, seems like that could happen. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
Seth Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I seen a big one fly out of the water 5 feet behind our boat while we was driving through a creek that enters into the Gasconade River. It scared the heck out of me becuase I wasn't expecting to see a fish of that size fly 10 feet out of the water like a scud missle lol
Members KRflyfisher Posted February 1, 2006 Members Posted February 1, 2006 Now that looks like some extreme fishing!
