Micheal Kyle Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Well Guess who is back into the groove? Yes your right that would be me and my gang. We have completed a lot of things here at the shop and on the home front. I now only have about a 30 minute drive vs. 1.5 hour drive to Taney. I love it. We have been fishing Taney a lot at night generally we are not starting until after midnight. The fishing has been great the fish that we are catching are running in 15-17" and are full of energy. We have been using a variety of flies any where from a sculpins to the good olé stand by mohair leech. When we have been fishing the sculpins I have been fishing them very slow and on bottom, if you are not in the Rocks you will not get hit. The olive and brown in a size 4-6 I have noticed that the fish have been midging a lot at night and I have really taken advantage of that with top water flies. They have been smacking they heck out of muddlers right on the surface, size 6 in brown. Last night I used the old stand by the mohair leech, I have a new color I call it the ACE OF SPADES. I not sure how many fish I caught on it but it was a bunch I'm pretty sure I will be adding this one to the collection of mohairs. Whip and strip Everything the Slow strip and has been pretty good but I would have to say with a moderate 3-2 strip, has worked the best. I always vary my stripping sometimes that will make all the difference. 3 nights ago all I was doing was letting it swing and then recast. The best fish of the week at night did come last night it was a 19-20" brown nice and fat as well. I will do my best to keep good and accurate reports going, now that I'm back in the playroom. The timeout was long but I'm sure in the long run it will pay for its self. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!

I always have to have Phil do it, I do not want to bother phil. I will try and upload a pic though. Just to prove that I have been down there. To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!

Micheal Kyle Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 I'm in just let me know. Sorry I kept him out to late. I told him several times this is the last fish and he would cast again. Then I would have to cast again. I'm pretty sure we went through the last cast segment for 45 minuets. To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
