duckydoty Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I think I've come up with a better way to measure the fish Leonard. I tied up some 12" flies last night. If the fish is bigger than the fly, then it's hungry And you think I'm kidding duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Terry Beeson Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I keep lookin' at some of those flies you guys are tyin' and wonder when they stocked Taney with Tarpon!! Hey Leonard... you're suppose to use a US tape measure... not metric... Yeah... I usually net all my creek chubs just for show... But I'm replacing my net with a minnow dip net so they look a lot bigger in the pictures... Jeremy Hunt Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Hey Leonard, I feel you on the net. I forget mine all the time, but I never forget a camera. Pictures are priceless and it’s something you can pause in time and reflect back. Anyways... good story and I know you can catch those kinds of fish on Taney in one night. All I can say is what a river. Also, I'm trying to find time to meet up with you guys, but guiding during the day has kept me sleeping at night. Reading all these night reports is making me wonder just how good it really is right now? Has anybody fished down below the point down to the boat ramp. I know this, if you’re not, then your missing out. I have seen some big fish during the day cruising through there. More then likely I will be going tonight in my pontoon boat. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
Members David Bolin Posted June 13, 2007 Members Posted June 13, 2007 Leonard, I'm headed up your way Friday afternoon. Are you going to be on the river Friday or Saturday night? Looks like they're running a lot of water. How does that figure into the night fishing scenario? db
Terry Beeson Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Hey David... you bringin' your grass rods with ya? You guys take care of David and show him a good time night fishin' Taney... I've already given him the secret to keeping the Giant Man-Eating Taneycomo Killer Squid from making a snack out of him... Not sure if he's "in the know" of the other spooks down there, tho... I have a "fun filled family mini-vacation" this weekend, so won't be down there... MAYbe Sunday night if we get back in time... Members David Bolin Posted June 14, 2007 Members Posted June 14, 2007 Yep...if you see an Arkansas hillbilly waiving a grass stick around, that's me. I'll have a pine squirrel tied on with some 30lb tippet. That squid doesn't have a chance. db
