Members MikeS Posted June 14, 2007 Members Posted June 14, 2007 Anybody out there know a good, reliable, trustworthy Optimax service place.I've had it with Table Rock Tackle and Marine,WORST service I've ever encountered! Thanks
Dutch Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 You might try Sport Boats USA at CC hwy north of Ozark. Pat and John are both good wrench turners.
timsfly Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Center city marine in Springfield has always treated me right. They are good people. Here is their link. http://www.centercitymarine.com/ Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
CMAC Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Bruce and Rodney at Tangoras marine got my vote (nixa), but if you have warranty probably doesn't matter. Ulrich might work for you?
Pour Dennis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Try Sport Boats USA in Shell Knob on highway 39.
taxidermist Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Try Bearskin Marine in Flippin AR. Floyd is pretty sharp on motors, hourly rate is $65.00 per hour. plus parts.
Gone Fishing Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Curt at Baxter Marine specializes in Mercs and has always done me good.
skeeter Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Suggest you check first wherever you decide to go and see if they have necessary equipment and training to work on Optimax. Not every Merc shop has the capability.
Members Mart Posted June 15, 2007 Members Posted June 15, 2007 There is a special diagnostics software program made by Mercury for the Optimax. The lead mechanic from Waymack Marine in Springdale showed me it when he serviced my boat last fall. It's amazing the information that he can see. Everything short of where I went and how few fish I caught. If the mechanic doesn't have this equipment I wouldn't let him work on my Optimax. It's a pretty sophisticated motor. Waymack refered me to Tracker Service in Branson for local service. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I spoke with Clay Newkirk at the shop and he seemed to say all the right things.
edwin Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Brian and Fred at Ulrich in Branson West are fantastic...highly recommend them. "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
