Members DocTbeau Posted April 24, 2020 Members Posted April 24, 2020 Gentleman, Ive been wanting to come up from NWA for sometime to fish Taney for the first time. I have a narrow 13ft Alumacraft with a 7.5 Johnson, is this adequate and enough outboard to safely fish the lake. Thanks.
marcusearlt Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Dr Paul! hey buddy it's Marcus (and Kiley). I'd say if you are a skilled boater and are inclined to err on the side of safety/caution when needed then go for it, especially down lake where it slows down some. I have only been there once when the water was high like it is now and I was in a 14 foot boat and did fine. There are many on here though that are far more knowledgeable than me about Taney, hopefully they will chime in. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 25, 2020 Root Admin Posted April 25, 2020 It’ll be fine. But if they’re running 4 units like this afternoon, you’ll find some stretches harder to climb mainly in the upper lake.
