Lowrance Hook 9 Tripleshot.

I am looking to upgrade the screen in my Tracker to something larger and have been looking at this one, the Hook 9 Tripleshot. It will be replacing my 898 5" Hummingbird unit, it's going to the river boat.

Looking for any advice from current users.  I don't need a lot, just a decent sonar with GPS.

Wish there was still some of those Echomap 93SVs still floating around for $599, that was a bargain.

The Hook series is getting pretty dated and was entry level when it was new. I'd probably opt for a Helix 8, 9, or 10 for not much more money. There are also some Echomap units in that same price range, if you're willing to skip the side imaging.

I go thru this the last few years, keep waiting for something better.

The Hook 9 seems to have all I need.  Buddy has the Garmin unit, but the puck is huge.  Creates its own wake behind the boat.

Interested if the Fish Reveal is anything to brag about.
