Fish24/7 Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 7' Quantum Micro MXP spinning rod and paired it with a Shimano Catana FC 1000 reel with 6lb Sufix 832 superline. Rod is rated for micro jigging which is how I target panfish 95% of the time. Even though it's a 7' rod, even the small sunfish will put a bend in the blank, and the length allows me to cast a 1/32 oz jig a very long ways on the 832 superline. Also like the 7' for vertical jigging and dipping around wood. Rod has plenty of backbone too to turn a hump headed bull bluegilll, or giant slab without feeling overpowered like you are horsing them in. Being a micro light rod it's micro light in weight. The reel balanced out nicely on the rod. Feels just right to me. At Just under $100 for the rod, reel ,and line I have used it a half dozen times with no complaints whatsoever. It's a great micro combo imo! mixermarkb 1
