gonefishin Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yesterday on Table Rock. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
jcoberley Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 What a waste of money! Fish slow and easy! Borrowed this one from..........Well you know who! A proud memer of P.E.T.A (People Eating Tasty Animals)
skeeter Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 This was mentioned on another local board as happening off Point 10 Sunday afternoon and ironically and unhappily the boat was occupied by two Southern Stone County Firefighters and their families. The engine backfired and started the fire and everyone jumped over the side. Report said the owner stayed on board and threw flotation devices to everyone before jumping in himself and received minor burns while doing so. Brave guy !!!
Terry Beeson Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Wasn't there also a drowning on Table Rock and one on Taneycomo over the weekend? In the immortal words of Sergeant Phil Esterhaus: "Hey... Let's be CAREFUL out there!" (Hill Street Blues) TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
CMAC Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 seven drowings YTD up here at LOTO. We had I believe 11 total last year. Booz and boating don't mix.
jdmidwest Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Wasn't that the boat parked in the channel at fall creek the other day? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
