Hi All,

Well I'm looking for a place to crash Saturday and Sunday night. Does not need to be expensive or fancy. Just somewhere to stay while I am fishing Taneycomo. It's this or else I am just going to sleep in the back of my truck down at the river ... lol ... I hope that is not illegal.

There are several very low priced hotels on the east end of the strip by Hwy 65. $19 a night or around that. I've stayed at a couple for the AC or heat but don't expect the Taj Mahal. For that matter don't expect Holiday Inn Express either. Hey it beats sweatin and sceeter bites or frostbite anytime.

$19 a night now? In the winter, I've seen it. But not in the middle of the "tourist hatch..." But then again, maybe they're hurting worse than I thought... I don't get on that side of Branson often...

After reading Terry's post might be higher now since I mostly go in fall and winter. I still think on that end of the strip those old hotels are the cheapest you'll find. Mighta been $29 a night in summer.

When I ever stay the night at Taney, I always camp at Table Rock State Park about a mile south of the dam. Although, I'm not sure how full they will be this weekend.

Check the motels on the highway south of the dam, they're said to be reasonable.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
