Terry Beeson Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Yeah... I'm getting to be afraid of drivers who are BBQing while behind the wheel going down the freeway!!! They do everything else while driving... gonefishin Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 GF, While those fumes are toxic, in many cases it is the lack of oxygen and burning of the lung tissue from the heat of the smoke that causes death... wood, charcoal, or whatever. You got me there but, I hope he isnt worried about it because he is sticking his head in the grill Maybe you were on to something when you mentioned the special oregano. Yeah... I'm getting to be afraid of drivers who are BBQing while behind the wheel going down the freeway!!! They do everything else while driving... Yeah but you can always spot the drivers who are bbq'ing behind the wheel from all of the smoke coming out of the windows. Gives you time to get out of their way. : I would rather be fishin'. (If you haven't seen the commercial, you won't get that joke...) gonefishin Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I hate it when I am BBQ'ing and a drop of A1 falls on the grill. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
MOFishwater Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 not making light of this, but it CAN kill ya! Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston who killed himself last week, left behind a note in which he called himself "a lonely soul," according to police reports released Thursday. The note was paper-clipped to the neck of Delp's shirt when police found his body at his Atkinson home, on the bathroom floor, his head on a pillow. He had sealed himself inside with two charcoal grills; toxicology tests showed he had committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning
gonefishin Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 not making light of this, but it CAN kill ya! Yea, but I don't think he was sitting in his yard watching the purple martins and typing on his laptop while grilling chicken wings when he died. I would rather be fishin'. jdmidwest Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 Yep, doesn't sound like he was too happy. I hope the press did not see that article, the deadly grills will be outlawed. Who remembers the band "Boston"? Me. Dam I am getting old. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
