Snow Fly Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 My prayers are with you and the family Terry. "God gave fishermen expectancy, so they would never tire of throwing out a line"
Crippled Caddis Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Er----Terry, have you ever stopped to think that He wants you to be a trout bum? "You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in their struggle for independence." ---Charles Austin Beard
Terry Beeson Posted July 6, 2007 Author Posted July 6, 2007 HE may want me to, but I think Cindy will veto His take on that one... Hey... she let me be a trout bum a couple of years back... I may have to do that again... Kansas Fly Fisher Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Just read the thread, sorry it's late but my best wishes and prayers for you on this interview and a subsequent job offer. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Members Flextime Posted July 6, 2007 Members Posted July 6, 2007 Here's the deal Terry B. You pray for me to win the lottery. Then, I can hire you. What I am seeking is someone to caddy a golf bag full of fly rods, read the lie of the stream and select the proper rod for each particular situation. You have experience on the water so that part of the interview is already a given. You are a legend as a fish catcher. An all-around outdoorsman. Put aside all that technical school-learning stuff and get thee outside. I will pay generously and you will be a pioneer in an exciting new professional service. Oh, yes....there will be bikini clad supermodels following us with rum drinks (w/ little umbrellas) and freshly peeled grapes. In the meantime, good luck with your interviews. (Just keep your new employer apprised of your aformentioned option).
Terry Beeson Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 I just got off the phone with a former boss who was contacted as a reference for the job. His take on it was that they are very interested and after talking to them, he says he will be very surprised if they do not offer me a position. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts and keep 'em comin'... I'll let you know if and when I get "the call..." gonefishin Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I agree with JC. You got em hooked now all you gotta do is ease them into the net. Should not be a problem for an experienced angler such as yourself. Seriously, good luck. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
