MOPanfisher Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Should any of you be so u fortunate as to have a case head completely separate upon firing leaving the body of the case stuck in the chamber I learned a great trick. Wish I had learned it 3 months ago, that's how long i have been trying and failing to remove a stuck case body from a Ruger 77/22H .22 Hornet. Took 2 days for the box to get here from Midway, 15 minutes to get everything set up, a couple hours to get up the nerve and maybe 5 minutes to melt, pour and knock it out. Tomorrow will see how much damage I did to the chamber trying to get it out before this. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1007021082?pid=462291

jdmidwest Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Stuck cases are a bithc. Sometimes you can knock them out with a cleaning rod. If not, gotta go the hard way like you did. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
MOPanfisher Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 I admit I was sceptical of using the casting allloy, ole Larry Potterfield made it look way too easy in his video. But he was right, if ever have it happen again I will use it.
